Week 7 - DONE!

Just a quick update.  I managed to finish week 7 today and although the runs are a bit tough in the last 2-3 minutes, I felt good about them.  At this point I do not expect any trouble getting to the end of the program when measuring my runs by time, but I will definately need to work on my speed after I reach 35 minutes.

I set my run up so that it would end near the country store down the road from my house, where treated myself to an import Coca Cola (glass bottle instead of plastic, sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup).  If any of you guys have ever had the misfortune to drink a U.S. Coke you have you will understand why getting the real thing is big deal (at least it is for me).

In any case, I am not sure what to do to continue my progress after I finish week 9.  I prefer the Ullrey podcasts as he updates you periodically during the run (where DJ BeatSmith just tells you when to start and stop), but I do not see any options for post c25k by him.  If anyone has an idea of where I could look I would appreciate the input (my eventual goal is to do a 10k at 10min/mile pace).

Ken, I'm kind of in that same spot.  I do like the DJ BeatSmith method, so that's an option for me.  But I'm not convinced yet it's the way to go....

Next up: More 5k running!
