Heya Chelle,
My quarter sister wants me to run the Bridge to Brisbane as well. 12 km still seems a bit scary to me now... but not nearly as scary as it was a month and a half ago - so I'll just have to see how things are going by then.
Wikipedia mentions that there's also a 4.5 km version from Breakfast Creek as well, although I can't find any mention on the official web site.
Take it easy and have fun running!

Yes there is definately a shorter course that starts at Brekky Ck. I registered last year for the short course but then chickened out when it got closer. This year it finishes at RNA Showgrounds i think.

Thanks for creating this site, Rob. Becoming a runner has been a longtime goal of mine and I really don't think I could even try it without C25k.

Welcome to all of you newbies. You'll find the site and the people very helpful.
I've just started week 4 and I honestly feel the improvements.
Welcome aboard!

Hello everyone!
A friend of mine decided that we both had to get into some sort of shape outside of "round". She forwarded the Couch to 5K article to me and I jumped right at the chance. Plus it is nice having someone else huffing and puffing right next to me. My added motivation is that I am really hoping this improves my endurance and speed when I am on 8 wheels (I am a roller girl hopeful).
Just going into Week 2 and am so glad I stumbled onto the site and the link for the iPodrunner tracks.
Looking forward to learning more and pushing that extra bit.

I just wanted to say... this program IS WORKING!!!
I started 4 weeks ago, 47, totally unfit.
I cannot believe it but today I actually moved my belt in by one notch. That is the best motivation you can get... and after only 4 weeks!!
What I really like about this so far is that it's challenging without being so daunting you give up. The rest walks in between make it "do-able".
So just to add to the fun I've started adding a few crunches and pushups as well. But I mean A FEW. (I did five pushups today and almost collapsed!!)
But hey - if I can build C25K gradually then why not the crunches and pushups too?
Amazing what one little hole in your belt can do for your self esteem... roll on the next four weeks!!!
