Cheers, Bryan. I like the idea too, but i don't want to "peg" back the 10km i'm doing Mon, Wed, Fri either.
Maybe i'll start with the weekend run being 5k, to see how the body copes with 4x a week. Then add a kilometer every fortnight until i'm running 20 odd km in the weekend making my 10km runs seem short...
Maybe i'm getting ahead of myself.

Well my casual 5k went well yesterday (26mins), now all that remains to be seen is how my usual 10k will go tonight.
It's freaken hot today, 36 degrees! (97f), might shorten it a bit and go for a swim after. Bet the water will be like bath water though :(

Hey all, been a bit quiet lately. 400th C25k post! Probably been 90% waffle though, hehe.
Still been running, but not nessecarily 3 (or my hoped for 4) days a week. Had a concert to go to Monday (Them Crooked Vultures), and a Rugby game Friday (Queensland Reds vs Canterbury Crusaders), and my schedual is just too busy to re adjust (i just can't seem to get out of bed (earlier than i have to) in the mornings these days (did all of C25k in the early AM), so only managed 1 run last week :(
Been strugling to go much quicker than an hour for 10k in the summer heat (usually between 58mins and 1hr 2 mins). Life has been throwing me some doozys lately, so have been a bit down (maybe casue i wasn't getting my 3 runs a week...?). Today was a bit cooler though so i decided to go out there and go for it (well i actually decided a km or two into the run, when i was feeling really good), just to feel something else for a change.
So i'm please to say i finally cracked my fastest (nike+ measures) 10km run at 53 mins 45 seconds. I think on a rally good day i could go faster too. Maybe aim for a sub 50min though winter...? (my current best 5 k is just under 25mins...)
Here's the run

Hey Dikkers,
I hear you... I would love to be able to transform myself into an early morning runner... I too find it such a task to get up 'before I have to'...
I really want to be able to head out the door at 4.30am and feel like a sick *** (In the best way) I would own the streets and tell the world this is my day! I would go for a casual 10K run (longest run so far is only 6K) and all would be right in the world... Instead I play these mind games to get in my evening runs...
Also I would love to beat that Summer heat.
I like those times... you are really getting up to a nice pace.

They were amazing! Never thought I'd be mere meters from John Paul Jones, let alone Dave Grohl and Josh Homme. Why don't you go to bands so much anymore? I almost didn't go to this one, as everyone i knew who liked them was out-of-town (was a long weekend), and it was too expensive for those of my friends who didn't really like them to bother attending. I almost put it off, but thought "if you don't go, you'll probably regret it, if you do go, what's there to lose?". So i ended up going by myself and it was amazing. No one to worry about, just got right up the front and jumped my ass off, made up for not making my run that day!

For some reason i can get out of bed better in winter. I think my peak operation temperature is below the Brisbane average. Thinking of changing my Wed evening run to a Hilly morning run (but have Wed evening as a early bed leaving fail day back-up) to help with the speed and also give me a night off/free night to start up touch-rugby again. Maybe also morning runs to help kick-start my day and, like you said, go at the whole day with a positive attitude! Thanks for the compliment re-speed, i certainly don't feel that fast as get passed quite regularly...
Just a note, the reason i say "finally" was that the last time i ran sub 54min 10k was the very 1st time i ever ran 10k on July 28th last year. Weird.
I got a new t-shirt for inspiration....

and giggles...

Haha, never too old to appreciate good music (which isn't so much of new music these days anyway), there's plenty of oldies still touring!
And 11pm!? that's a late night! and i'm 26!
I had a crazy day yesterday, did my 10km run home in 56mins, not too bad. Girly needed the car so i was going to walk to my Japanese night-class (730pm start). Only 2km away so about 30mins walk. Then while i was cooking and eating my dinner i realised i still hadn't showered after my run, and i'm getting into the zone of having to leave to get there on time (about 645pm). Decided to shower and bike there, it'd be much quicker than walking and give me time for my shower, did that and was ready to leave 710pm. Went down to the garage and girly has stolen the front light off my bike and i've got 2 flat tyres... the bike pump is set up to her crazy road bike valve and not standard bike tyre valve... PANIC!
15mins to go... I can do that on-foot i thought! So went for my second run since 5pm, only 2km there and back, but sure did hurt after the 10km,then consuming a lamb chop and salad. Made that shower fairly pointless too!
Although i did like running at night, much cooler. Also thought it'd be stupid to waste the opportunity to rack up a couple of extra nike plus kms, so there's a 14km hit in one day for our Feb challenge :D

Maybe it's taking you longer to warmup Dan. I know it takes me ages before I feel good.
